Meet Mrs. Mason

My family and I recently moved here from Fort Riley, Kansas, where my husband was stationed in the Army. I am originally from Canton, Michigan, a suburb of metro-Detroit, where I attained a Bachelors of Science in Language, Literature, and Writing from Eastern Michigan University. I always wanted to be a teacher, so I continued on to earn my Post-Baccalaureate Secondary Teaching Certification in English Language Arts and History. I am currently earning my Master's in Educational Psychology: The Developing Learner, also from EMU. Go Eagles!
I have a Kansas Professional Teaching License in English 6-12, and a Michigan Provisional License for grades 6-12 in English Language Arts and History. I taught both 8th and 6th grade English Language Arts at Fort Riley Middle School, which was recently featured on the Today show with Jill Biden and was 2012-2013's NAMSP's National Middle School of the Year. I most recently taught 9th grade English I and Honors English at Junction City High School in Kansas.
